The volunteering holiday is a very big business in today's world with the many organizations charging £1000`s just to spend a month abroad helping others. But this is changing with the increasing use of the internet because its allowing local organizations a chance to recruit their own volunteers and cut out the middle man.
EHN is one of those organizations set up to promote volunteering in Nepal for just £10 a day which covers food and accommodation which can work out cheaper than a real holiday. And it's far more rewarding.
Why it's so cheap?
Well the cost of living in Nepal is low compared to most countries, you can rent a room in Kathmandu from around £3+ and an average meal costs £2 in the tourist areas. Escape from these areas and it becomes cheaper.
And would you believe it if we said that with charging just £10 a day EHN takes a small % to run its organization as well? It's true being a local organization our outgoings are very low the office costs around £50 a month to run and we are supported by volunteers who help advertise.
This way we can provide quality volunteering at the lowest possible price which benefits everyone.
