Descripción de la oportunidad de voluntariado

Erie Neighborhood House invites willing and dedicated individuals to volunteer as a tutor at its two locations in West Town area and Little Village for the following services:

  • English as a Second Language (ESL) classes
  • Language Exchange classes
  • General Education Development (GED) classes
  • Citizenship classes

If you are interested in connecting with Erie Neighborhood House for service learning opportunities, please contact Susana Ortiz (at 312-432-2257 or sortiz@eriehouse.org) or Justin Hochstetler (at 312-432-2254 or justinh@eriehouse.org) to schedule an orientation.

Orientations are typically held on Wednesdays at 5:30 PM, Fridays at 1 PM, and Saturdays at 10 AM; however, hours are flexible. During orientation, individuals will register as a volunteer tutor, choose their preferred subject areas for tutoring, view a film about our organization, tour the facility, and discuss training options. Orientations last between 1-2 hours and include observations.
