Do you enjoy planning events? Do you have a passion for golf, holistic education, or both? Golf Committee members will work together to plan and facilitate Shakti Rising's annual summer Birdies and Butterflies golf tournament that benefits Shakti Rising's Education and Community Wellness program. This is a great leadership opportunity, as Shakti fundraising events are planned effectively by teams of volunteers, with staff as support. Golf Committee members will play a key role in inspiring generosity in the community and creating a memorable event for all involved.
Time Commitment: Regular planning meetings and communication between meetings; approximately 6-8 hours to plan event, 1-2 hours to oversee setup on the day of the event.
Qualifications: Experience planning events, experience as a leader or desire to lead and collaborate. Knowledge and experience in Shakti's Resource Development model. Detail-oriented and organized.
Training Provided: Support from Shakti Rising staff; hands-on training in planning events and in Shakti Rising's innovative model.
Benefits: Golf Committee Members will be directly connected to the success of Shakti Rising's Birdies & Butterflies Golf Tournament. Will be able to put leadership, events planning, management, and fundraising on resume.
