Interesting international non-profit organization needs a translator to work remotely with a second translator, a native speaker. One translator would translate mental health web pages into Japanese, while the other would check the accuracy of the translation. If you are a native speaker, or a professional translator, we want you!
Some pages are for general education about depression and other clinical and research topics in mental health; other pages--a much smaller amount--are self-assessments visitors can take for free, and confidentially, online. Visitors can print out their test results, and take them to their doctor. We are therefore particularly concerned that these pages are translated perfectly, so visitors can receive the best possible care.
For more information about the organization, please see our About page at our old site for the public (www.cet.org), which we are in the process of merging with our professional site, and upgrading. You can also read a brief description of us at Idealist.org (http:www.idealist.org/view/nonprofit/Jg5DzP4j832D/). Please note that some of the pages you see at cet.org will remain in the new site, at times with more complete translations, and some of the pages will be completely new.
Also, because we will be adding a small amount of content to the site every month, it would be wonderful if translators could remain with us as we expand our services.
We have an online tutorial to show you how to do the translations for the self-assessments online, and other translators and I would be happy to answer questions.
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Elizabeth
