We are trying to help some public schools in the rural areas of Nepal by providing them international volunteers to teach English, Math and other subjects.
Volunteer teachers will be mainly teaching English and Math; to join in this program volunteers do not need to have Nepali language skills. Volunteers assist the regular school teacher for few days and later they will run their own classes so volunteers do not need to have any teaching background. Volunteers are also welcome to teach other subjects e.g. history, science, geography, computer, technologies, music etc. All higher education in Nepal is in English, so it is very important that children must learn English to continue further higher education and our Native language speaker volunteers will be helping them out.

Initial Program in Kathmandu:
As soon as you arrive our staff will guide you to learn Nepali language and other cultural issues. You will stay with our staff member's host family.
Volunteer Work:
• Teaching in Schools
Volunteers will have the opportunity to teach in primary and secondary schools which are located in villages. Volunteers work together with a local teacher to help improve English skills including listening and speaking, grammar, and reading. You will also assist local teachers in a variety of other subjects including environment, maths and history.
Schools work- week runs from Sunday - Friday with Saturday being the only day off. You will work from 2 to 4 hours a day with the opportunity to work more or less if you choice, each classes run for 45 minutes.
Accommodation and Food:
Volunteers will be responsible for arranging their own logistic cost however we will provide our recommendation.
At the placement each volunteer lives with a local family as a member of the family and receives a separate room with basic furniture. Families provide two main meals a day, the day time meal will be a light snacks, for drinking - boiled water will be available.
