Platinum Minds helps promising, academically gifted or motivated young men ages 11-17 from environmentally challenged neighborhoods with preparing to be community leaders of tomorrow, and has a six-year track record of regional success. Through our Frederick Douglass Reading Program, we provide skills to improve reading and writing via a program offered 8-12 weeks on a Saturday, and are seeking an unpaid volunteer as our Program Coordinator to manage the program, monitor students and tutors, and assess and document progress. This program has been successful in Newark and Morristown, and we are seeking a talented college student or college graduate to lead the expansion of this program into Asbury Park.
