Are you passionate about education and global development? Join the Vittana family and help fund the education of youth worldwide by crafting our students' web profiles. We believe that education is the best tool a young person has to change their life and our mission is to graduate a generation beyond poverty. Through microfinance and crowd-funding techniques we offer student loans to students in more than a dozen developing nations so they can receive the training and education they need to succeed. Together we can make this happen!
How does Vittana work? Vittana works with finance organizations in more than a dozen developing nations to offer high-impact student loans to those who need it most. When our users go to our website, they can browse current students and contribute to that student's loan. 100% of their loan goes to students. When a student graduates and pays back their loan, our users get paid back — 99.8% of Vittana students repay their loans on time! Through trust and hard work, we are investing in each other and investing in a better future!
Where do volunteers come in? As a volunteer, you will work directly with the information collected in the field to translate, edit, and write the student stories we share for each student on our website. Each student has a unique dream and story to share. These stories are the key to getting students funded.
We are looking for volunteers who are comfortable working independently, can communicate effectively in writing, and are passionate about ending global youth poverty through increasing access to education funding. Knowledge of Spanish is a plus, but not required--this could be a great opportunity to practice!
Vittana's volunteer work is carried out over the internet and can be done from anywhere!
