Oportunidad de voluntariado publicado por: Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI)
Publicado el: 29/01/2013
Overview:
Founded in 2002, by President William J. Clinton, the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) is a global health organization committed to strengthening integrated health systems around the world and expanding access to care and treatment for HIV/AIDS, Malaria and other illnesses. Based on the premise that business oriented strategy can facilitate solutions to global health challenges, CHAI acts as a catalyst to mobilize new resources and optimize the impact of these resources to save lives, via improved organization of commodity markets and more effective local management. By working in association with governments and other NGO partners, CHAI is focused on large scale impact and, to date, CHAI has secured lower pricing agreements for treatment options in more than 70 countries. In addition, CHAI's teams are working side-by-side with over 30 governments to tackle many of the largest barriers to effective treatment and care.
The Human Resources Department
The Human Resources Department partners with CHAI's leadership and management to ensure that we attract, hire and retain quality candidates to fulfill our human resources needs. The Human Resources Department works alongside country, headquarters and global program teams to provide a strategic and coherent approach to the management of one of CHAI's most valued assets - the people working with us who individually and collectively contribute to the achievement to CHAI's objectives.
This busy department directly supports staff and programmatic success in the field through benefits, safety and legal compliance efforts. Each of these areas relies on support. The volunteer will be performing primarily administrative tasks; he or she will help audit employee files for completeness, assist the HR team in providing support to staff members, and will learn more about human resources in a global environment!
Important Information: Boston HQ runs only a volunteer program; we do not sponsor an internship program but generally will provide support for external funding or academic credit requirements.
The Spring, 2013 HQ Volunteer session will run from February 4th through May 24th.
