Teach Mathematics in a remote East African village and empower marginalized children with education. Explore Tanzania and experience life in a traditional Maasai community. IEFT has an open position for a volunteer Mathematics teacher starting as soon as possible.
IEFT is a registered non-profit organization that collaborates with rural communities in northern Tanzania to provide quality, affordable secondary education to indigenous children. IEFT operates the Orkeeswa Secondary School which is populated by motivated students and an upbeat and welcoming staff. Job Description:
IEFT is looking for an energetic educator to volunteer as a Mathematics teacher at Orkeeswa. As a Mathematics teacher, you must be able to teach Form I through Form III courses.

Volunteers and staff have the freedom and flexibility to explore some of East Africa's treasures, including safaris on the Serengeti Plain, climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro, hiking the Ngorongoro Crater, or relaxing on the beaches of Zanzibar Island. Experience Tanzania's diverse indigenous cultures and traditions, distinct wildlife and breathtaking scenery!
There is no program fee to volunteer with IEFT, however candidates are required to cover their travel and living expenses. Stipends are available for qualified applicants.
