MoCADA relies on the efforts of a dedicated staff of enthusiastic, outgoing and hard-working volunteers to support its mission and programming. The Volunteer Program at MoCADA welcomes students, adults and seniors to engage visitors with information and hospitality at events, learn more about exhibitions and community outreach, and connect with a welcoming community of artists and museum professionals.
Volunteer duties include but are not limited to:
-Greeting Visitors at MoCADA events and openings
-Administering informal visitor surveys and collecting feedback on exhibitions and programming
-Bartending, serving, and event setup and breakdown
-Assisting teaching artists and Education staff with tour activities and kids programming
-Distributing flyers and information to local businesses and schools
-Representing MoCADA at college fairs and information sessions
-Assisting staff with administrative duties such as mailings or preparing materials for art classes
Requirements
-Interest in or curiosity about the arts
-Ability to work well with a group and interact enthusiastically with the public
-Willingness to serve community and dedication to MoCADA's mission
-Able to commit to working for at least once monthly for 3-12 months
