Storm Relief Hotline Volunteer

NYLAG is a not-for-profit law office that provides free civil legal services for low-income New Yorkers. The Storm Response Unit was launched by NYLAG to provide comprehensive legal assistance to those across the region who have been impacted by Sandy.

The Storm Response Unit is seeking volunteers to staff NYLAG's Storm Relief Hotline. Volunteers will be trained and supervised by NYLAG staff. Applicants must be prepared to handle a high volume of calls and to interact with a diverse client population in a sensitive and professional manner. Applicants should be an attorney or current law student.

Applicants should be available to cover two shifts per week, either from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM or 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
