The urban sprawl mixed with the monsoon season brings a large number of snakes into residential houses that we need help removing and relocating. Volunteers will assist our staff in accomplishing this task as well as taking these snakes to schools around the region to demonstrate and educate about their abilities and characteristics.
Snake Handling Volunteers with Vidyanagar Nature Club need a steady hand and an appreciation of all types of snakes including venomous cobras and vipers. Training will be provided for the right person but animal-handling experience is highly recommended.
We welcome adults (age 18+ y/o) of any country, either gender, who can speak English, have normal physical capabilities and the interest to work closely with snakes (including venomous varieties). Volunteers need to have an enthusiasm for and interest in the environment, and must enjoy spending time with children.
Additionally, volunteers will have the opportunity for bird watching, visiting different schools, colleges and ecosystems, interaction with youngsters, tribal members and teachers and the chance to see some of India's pristine and remote settings rarely seen by foreigners.
Applicant should be at least 18 year old.

Charges: We do not ask for fortune, only enough to meet expenses: $360/- for Four weeks $290/- for Three weeks. $220/- for Two weeks. $150/- for One week.

Personal expense may not exceed $10/- per week (i.e. bottled water, laundry)
Cost of airfare and transportation up to Baroda or Anand shall be borne by Applicant as well as insurance, which is required.
