Descripción de la oportunidad de voluntariado

The After School Club provides after-school programming to refugee youth age 6-14.It includes homework assistance, life skills training, and substance abuse prevention education. The program meets from October through June. We have two locations, Rogers Park and West Ridge.

After School Club Volunteers:

  • Provide tutoring assistance to refugee youth and implement age-appropriate educational activities.
  • Implement after school programming, supervising program participants and assisting with activities.
  • Enforce and implement the after school program code of conduct.
  • Model positive behaviors for participants, encouraging all youth to be engaged with one another.
  • Assist with escorting students from school to after school program locations and to their homes.
