Grounds For Sculpture provides educational tours for school and adult groups through the dedication of Volunteer Docents. GFS Docents receive extensive training and complete hours of individual research in order to become knowledgeable about the sculptures on view and proficient in discussing sculptural techniques. Each Docent has his/her own style and creates individually designed tours that focus on their interests. A requirement of 15 – 20 tours per year plus 10 service hours is required to be a Docent in good standing. A tour typically lasts about an hour.
