Do you want to help raise funds for San Francisco AIDS Foundation's prevention and care programming? Then you should consider becoming a Dining Out for Life® Volunteer Ambassador.
On Thursday, April 25, 2013 over 75 restaurants around the Bay Area will participate in Dining Out for Life and donate 25% of their sales to the San Francisco AIDS Foundation. We need your help to make sure those restaurants are packed!
Your role is central to the event's success and we couldn't produce this event without the time and dedication from our Volunteer Ambassadors. What does it take to be a Dining Out for Life Volunteer Ambassador? Invite your friends and family to come to your assigned restaurant: As an Volunteer Ambassador we encourage you to make phone calls, send emails, use Facebook and other social outlets to fill the seats in your restaurant.
Get acquainted with your restaurant: Introduce yourself well before the event. You will be the source for information and your restaurateur may look to you for answers. Greet and welcome all the diners: Create a warm dining environment by thanking everyone for coming out and reminding them that 25% of their bill will be donated to HIV prevention and care programs in the Bay Area.
Promote the raffle at each table: Every year, this turns out to be a fun way to engage with the diners. We have some fantastic prizes to give away this year and the majority of tables usually want to participate.
Most importantly, have fun: This event is like hosting a big dinner party with all your friends, family, co-workers – but without all the cleanup. You may wish to find a co-Volunteer Ambassador to help fill the restaurant and be there with you that night.
