Play for Life International (PFLI) is currently looking for qualified and passionate individuals to be a part of our team! General duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Serve as an assistant baseball coach with a 14U, 12U and 10U teams
- Assist in practice and game strategies
- Assist and participate in baseball and baseball-related activities and events
- Assist in the administration and management of the baseball program and related activities
- Adhering to coaching and staff guidelines as outlined by Play for Life International
- Assist in other activities that may be requested or required by the Executive Director of Play for Life International
- Transport a variety of materials and sports equipment (car required)
Other
In addition to the assistant baseball coach's specific responsibilities, this person will:
- Participate in monthly development department meetings, when possible.
- Participate in regular staff meetings and events, when possible.
- Perform other tasks as requested.
REPORTING
The position is directly accountable to the Executive Director/Head Coach.
HOURS
Flexible (2 - 10 hours a month (off-season) 10 - 40 hours a month (during season)
QUALIFICATIONS
- Broad exposure to different sports and sports-related activities
- Capacity to engage others from diverse cultures and various sectors of the community
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Ability to perform in a proactive and self-directed fashion as well as a contributing team member.
- Flexibility, positive attitude and desire to continually improve professional skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and other MS Office products
