The Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) works with country governments and other major stakeholders in identifying the key obstacles to access and scale-up of essential health services, and developing sustainable strategies to overcome them.
At the request of our partner governments, and given the current global funding landscape, CHAI is increasing technical support through a Sustainable Health Financing Program that assists these governments in overcoming financing barriers to providing health services over the short and long term. To address these funding challenges, CHAI is working hand in hand with our government counterparts by identifying funding inefficiencies and improvements in allocation of resources across the health sector, exploring innovative financing mechanisms to mobilize additional resources domestically and internationally, and supporting health financing planning processes more broadly.
Summary of Position:
The Health Financing Volunteer will be based in Washington DC and help execute this work on a part time basis as a member of the global team that oversees country level technical operations and donor reporting. The Health Financing Volunteer will provide critical support to the global team in moving forward qualitative, technical aspects of country programs on a day-to-day basis, and be tasked with discrete organizational and operational duties to help ensure that activities are running smoothly.
Volunteers should expect to work between 20-30 hours per week, and do not receive any compensation.
