By becoming a Big Sister, you get to experience the fun and friendship you had when you were young, while making a profound difference in the life of a girl. By becoming a Big Sister, you can be the confidant and friend who encourages a girl to do more, try harder and become greater than she ever imagined. Big Sisters and Little Sisters have fun together - and create memories that last a lifetime.
Our Community-Based Mentoring Program is a one-on-one relationship between adult women with girls ages 7-15. Big and Little Sisters choose when, where and what they do to build a bond based on shared interests and experiences. Visits are weekly and last three to four hours; after you have been together for 3 months, you may meet twice per month. Once you've reached your 1 year anniversary, we will continue to encourage and support you and your Little Sister for the life of your match! We ask Big Sisters to commit to at least 12 months.

Big Sister is the largest mentoring organization in Greater Boston exclusively serving girls, covering 69 cities and towns. We could not serve the girls that we do without the dedication of our staff, Board of Directors and the thousands of volunteer mentors who give time and friendship to their Little Sisters.
