Are you interested in event planning and execution? Passionate about joining the fight against pancreatic cancer? We could use your help for PurpleStride San Diego 2013! We are currently recruiting members for our logistics committee that would be responsible for:
- Planning and executing the event set-up and clean-up
- Working with the entire event committee and venue staff to ensure all logistical needs are met.
- Planning the event route with rest and water stops as well as volunteers along the way.
- Working with the Marketing & Branding Committee to secure any signage needed.
- Securing any rentals that the event requires.
- Arranging all necessary safety services, traffic management, first aid and other professional services.
- Working with a race director and timing company if the event is timed.
- Obtaining and submitting contracts and invoices for all logistics related vendors to the Event Chair.
PurpleStride San Diego 2013 is an annual 5K Run/ 1 Mile walk event hosted by the local affiliate of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. PurpleStride events nationwide contribute millions of dollars toward the mission of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network to advance research, support patients and create hope. Funds raised help provide personalized support for patients and support research grants and advocacy efforts to increase federal pancreatic cancer research funding.
