Mentor high school students in community service projects in NYC.
Volunteer Mentors are college and graduate students or recent graduates with a demonstrated commitment to community service who supervise and mentor our high school volunteers at service days on Saturdays and school holidays throughout the academic year. Mentors will choose a service initiative (Environment, Hunger and Poverty, Literacy and Learning, Urban Agriculture, Community Improvement), commit to working the series of 5 to 7 Saturdays and holidays throughout the year dedicated to that initiative, and help build a leadership team of high school students related to that initative. Mentors will also work closely with our non-profit partners to plan and develop service days and will have opportunities to network with our non-profit partners.
