Event and Administrative Volunteer

Tremendous Hearts is a dynamic, young, Arlington, MA and Cape Town, South Africa-based non-profit and is seeking volunteer to provide administrative support and work at Tremendous Hearts' fundarising events. This role would be based in the Boston area. The volunteer would work from his/her home office. Duties may include attending and participating in event planning meetings; processing and tracking ticket orders, in kind and auction item donations; recording and acknowledging donations; working in various roles at fundraising events; and preparing correspondence and mailings. There is the potential to convert the volunteer role into a paid one if funding becomes available.

Successful candidates will have previous experience working in a non-profit environment and signifucant experience planning and executing events, have excellent written and oral communication skills, strong attention to detail, impeccable references, work well with little direct supervision and as part of a virtual team and have a passion for Tremendous Hearts' mission. We have a strong preference for candidates located in or near Arlington, MA.

Based in Cape Town, South Africa and Arlington, MA, Tremendous Hearts' provides volunteer professionals who commit to at least six months of service to South African children's homes and other agencies that care for orphaned, abused, neglected and vulnerable children. Our volunteers provide capacity building services and technical assistance to improve the standard of care in children's homes and to increase the number of children who are able to transition out of residential care.
