Christmas is a famous holiday in many countries in the world. Families are always happy to celebrate this holiday which brings hope and strengthens relationships. In Vietnam, there are still a lot of disadvantaged children, disabled children and orphans as well as disadvantaged elderly people who don't have families to support them.
International and local volunteers will organize Christmas and New Year celebrations for extremely poor children living in the Fisher village at the Red River and for the little patients of the National Pediatric Hospital in Hanoi. The volunteers will prepare music performances and organize leisure activities for the children. The group will also make nice gifts for the kids such as light stars.
In the Fisher village, in collaboration with the local volunteers and the children, the international participants will organize a big party on the bank of the Red River. In the Hospital, the volunteers will visit the children in their rooms, dressed as Santa Claus, and will hand out candies and small gifts.
With the key message "Warm heart, warm Christmas", this workcamp hopes to foster relationships between people, and also to give them hope for a beautiful future. The aim of the volunteer project is to provide disadvantaged people with a warm atmosphere that is being seen in families during the Christmas period.
