To those in Western cultures, an orphanage can appear to be a sad place, but Ugandan children in an orphanage find joy as they have refuge from the harsh conditions of the streets, support as they tackle life. The alternatives to an orphanage are alarming. Orphanages are places where volunteers can watch the children laugh, learn and grow.
If you enjoy and have fun working with young children and would like to help create a better living situation for these children many of whom live below the poverty level, then volunteer in a Ugandan orphanage and support disadvantaged children and communities where they live.

- Information: Get the opportunity to live and work with 29 amazing children to help get this exciting project off the ground. With ever increasing numbers of children arriving at this small orphanage, extra hands, eyes and ideas for activities are always needed to help maintain order, fun and learning! Living on site with your fellow volunteers and with everything on hand you can truly relax and soak up the African culture and traditions from the comfort of your new home.
