I started EHN in 2010 with my Nepali friend Raj who had one vision in mind. That was to provide low cost volunteering for all in the Kingdom of Nepal and since then we have grown and grown. Still provideing a great service and the same price we are building a strong base to work from. This year we want to do more to help our volunteers as well as the people who we support there. Please if you are planning to volunteer then read the statement below and have your say in the placement you have help which in turn will help future volunteers.
2013 will bring many challenges for EHN and all involved we are growing at such a rate we must remind ourselves of the importance of the work we are doing and why we are doing this. It's become a life's work seeing EHN grow and helping others in Nepal hence this year we want to do more for each of the placement`s we help.
But we need your help, each volunteer who comes through EHN will be asked to fill in several forms (we will keep them short so it doesn't get in the way of enjoying the placement) that provide feedback for future volunteers.
In these forms there will be several sections like a day in your life, the Nepali family you stayed with, how to improve the project and what future volunteers can do to help there.
I intend to put as much of this information onto our website for all to see.
This way EHN becomes a volunteer organization that gives our volunteers a say in the future. If we make a mistake then this will be added as well because we are only human but our promise is simple.
We always learn from our mistakes.
