Experience the Galapagos Islands - a cluster of islands located along the equator off the coast of Ecuador. Witness where Charles Darwin first hypothesized the theory of evolution in his infamous writings, "The Origin of Species." The Galapagos Islands are full of a wide array of diverse and fearless wildlife from giant tortoises, sea lions, penguins, marine iguanas, and various birds, all of which humans can experience up close.

There are projects are located on both San Cristobel and Isla Isabela islands, at nature centers that devote their time and energy on keeping their environmental impact as low as possible. They have a few different initiatives, ranging from sustainable agriculture, giant tortoise conservation, and research regarding the islands' eco-tourism development center.

Volunteers can choose which island they would like to work on, however the goals on each island are similar and both emphasize sustainable and eco-friendly initiatives.

Volunteers will be working alongside the site staff to assist in whatever project they are undertaking at that time. Some of the projects include organic farming, giant tortoise conservation, eco-tourism project development, and general maintenance of the project site.

Learn about conservation and sustainability in a hands-on, fun way from experts in the field!
Volunteers are provided accommodations for the duration of their stay in local home-stays as well as 3 meals a day. This is a great way to really immerse yourself in the local culture and lifestyle!
