Abous Us: HealthRIGHT 360 has been providing medical and behavioral health services to San Francisco's neediest folks for over 40 years. Our department, The Resource Center, is located at 15th and Mission streets. We provide housing, employment and education services to clients who need some support as they try to change their lives. Our team is a group of hard-working do-gooders who take a partnership-approach to working with clients and always maintain a sense of humor.

We're committed to providing you with a high quality experience that will add some strong components to your resume. We'll be sure to train you in the beginning and offer lots of coaching and support along the way.

Description: Are you computer savvy? Do you have the interest and ability to help folks out on a individual basis in a computer lab? If so, please contact us! We have clients who are very motivated to learn how to use the computers, but may have some anxiety around it, and having someone to help them makes a world of difference! This is also a great opportunity for volunteers who would like to get some hand-on experience working with clients in a non-profit setting. We're looking for people to assist clients to learn basic computer skills and search for jobs and housing opportunities. Duties include working individually with clients to search the Internet, complete online applications, and submit cover letters and resumes via email.

Requirements: WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Monday mornings, Wednesday mornings, Thursday mornings and afternoons, or Friday mornings for at least a 3-4 month committment
  • Skilled in MS Office & Internet research
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and listening skills; ability to provide constructive feedback and empathetic support
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries
  • Interest in working with diverse and/or disadvantaged populations. This includes LBGTQIQ, low literacy, learning/ physical/ mental disabilities, veteran status, HIV/AIDS, criminal history, history of homelessness
