This position has a wide variety of project possibilities based on the most urgent needs of the
shelter and staff. Occasionally there are continuing projects (a few days worth), more often than
not it is single day projects. It is beneficial to be willing to help out in whatever way is needed at
the moment. Due to the nature of the variety of projects the staff requires notice ahead of time to
plan projects for the Office Volunteer. A weekly schedule is ideal but this position has more
flexibility than the Reception Volunteer.
Duties (include but are not limited to):
- proactively scheduling times to come into the shelter
- helping with administrative projects – filing, sorting, shredding, organizing, printing, newsletter
assembly, etc.
- helping with shelter projects – cleaning, sorting, inventory, organizing
- laundry
