Support low-income students and engage with your community! Volunteer as a Woodmere School after-school aide and assist teaching staff with fun enrichment activities in K – 5th grade classrooms.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with setting up supplies and keeping students on task
- Tutoring students on subjects with an emphasis on Reading, Writing and Math
- Be positive role models in students' lives
- Communicate clearly and effectively with parents, teachers, staff, and students
Qualifications:
- Be an encouraging, patient, reliable and punctual
- Enjoy working with students
- Sensitive and open to people from diverse lifestyles, socioeconomic levels, and cultures
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Attend required trainings
- Pass a criminal background check
Training/Resources Provided:
- One-to-one training and orientation provided before beginning volunteer service
Commitment and Schedule:
- 1 afternoon each week between 2:30 - 5:30 pm, Monday – Friday
- Schedule is flexible as long as you are committed to the same time and day each week
