Do you have an appreciation for international affairs and education? If so, we need your help!
The World Savvy Challenge is the flagship youth engagement program of World Savvy, a global education nonprofit that educates and engages youth in community and world affairs so they can thrive as responsible global citizens.
This year, over 1,500 middle and high school students from schools throughout the Twin Cities have been researching and identifying problems related to this year's theme, "Sustainable Communities". On Saturday, March 2, 2013, over 350 of those students will come to Macalester College to showcase what they have learned.
To help make this event a meaningful experience for students, World Savvy invites individuals from the community to serve as judges on Challenge Day. No prior knowledge of the theme is required and World Savvy will provide a 90-minute judge training in mid-February to prepare judges for Challenge Day.
Once you have registered, you can expect to receive additional information in late January.
I hope you will consider serving as a judge and sharing this time with tomorrow's leaders.
Please register by going to the following link: http:volunteer-wsc-13-mn.eventbrite.com/#
If you are unable to commit to being a judge for the entire day, you are welcome to attend part of the event as an observer. If you have further questions, please contact me at 612-564-6939 or brian@worldsavvy.org.
I sincerely hope that you will consider volunteering to support Minnesota's students as they address this very important theme.
