    Sobre mi

I am an artist of multiple disciplines living ooutside of Philadelphia. I went to Temple University where I studied film and media arts. After graduating I moved to Nairobi, Kenya where I worked to renovate the National Theatre. I als.o woked as the Director of the Video Program for an international NGO. I was able to use my training in the media to evaluate and train grass roots NGOs through East and Southern Africa. It was the advant of video advocacy and creative activism and I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to do this work.

After returning from Africa I moved to Los Angeles, CA where I worked in the film industry and ultimately as the Director of Membership for Women In FIlm, a non-profit dedicated to furthering the careers of women in a typically male dominated industry. We offered programs, scholarships, and networking opportunities in Southern California, as well as hosting the Women In Film International Summit. Women from WIF branches around the world joined us to develop their own programs and celebrate each other's efforts over a week together at the Century Plaza hotel.

I fell ill during this time and met many individuals with life threatening illnesses, most of whom succumbed to their diseaes since then. I'm grateful to have made it through the worst years of Chronic Fatigue Immune Dysfuncion Syndrome - a deeply misunderstood disease by both the medical community and the media, that cripples people of all ages and cultures around the world.

I hope to return to work as a "creative activist," a term coined by the founder of Creative Visions Foundation who is a wonderful friend and mentor. CVF offered me a grant many years ago and I have long been inspired by the work of the organizations they support and the work they do. Art inspires and can heal. Using it in that way has always been my goal in life!
