Civil Society Watch Online launched to combat clampdown on civil society

Too many governments are blatantly getting away with enacting repressive restrictions on civil society and diminishing the freedoms of expression, assembly and association. That is why CIVICUS: World Alliance of Citizen Participation has launched its landmark Civil Society Watch Online platform. The online platform tracks threats to civil society around the world. It currently contains reports from over 70 countries and provides the unique ability for civil society, the media and the public worldwide to access information, unite and take action on reported threats.
