Develop your skills and deepen your understanding of the facilitation process
The course looks at the type of the work that a facilitator may take on. This includes designing events, getting 'buy-in' from those attending, and ensuring inclusiveness, with a special focus on dealing with problems and conflicts. You will be encouraged to develop your own strengths and facilitation style.
Learn how to:
This one day course is designed for those who have some experience of facilitation and would like to learn new ways to work and tackle some of the problems that can arise. You will learn new techniques, styles and understand the theory behind how to facilitate successfully. The day expands on ideas looked at in our introductory course, 'Facilitation Training', but is not a pre-requisite to attending this course.

Chris Church
Chris has worked in the voluntary sector and as a consultant for over 25 years. He is an experienced advisor on community and sustainable development issues, with a wide range of experience at international, national, and community level. He is an associate of the Community Development Foundation and a member of the London Sustainable Development Commission. Chris is chair of the UK Local Carbon Communities Network.
Chris has previously worked with the Community Sector Coalition, the National Trust, BTCV, Defra, Groundwork, the European Union TACIS programme, Surfers Against Sewage and many local councils. He is trained as a teacher and has been developing and running training programmes for 22 years.
Costs
£298: Large charities, public sector and small businesses
£150: Smaller charities (under 15 staff) and individuals.
Concessionary rates are available for students, pensioners and the unemployed. Please contact us for further details.
Tailored courses can be arranged for groups at a date and location to suit you.
