Do you want to start your own socially responsible business that strives to improve your community, your city, or even the world?
If you are a young Jewish adult who wants to launch a social enterprise, we encourage you to apply to be a JCC PresenTense Chicago fellow.
Our fellows participate in a six-month community mini-MBA curriculum that accelerates their ideas into launched social ventures. The program begins on Dec 9, 2012 and culminates on June 13, 2013 with Launch Night, a large-scale celebration of the fellows' accomplishments. We expect our fellows to commit at least 8 to 10 hours per week during the fellowship program; most fellows work full-time and all programming occurs on Sundays or week nights.
The program consists of an intensive curriculum that encompasses all of the stages of starting a business, and we expect our fellows to complete incremental milestones that make them credible entrepreneurs by Launch Night. Each fellow is matched with a coach and a mentor.
If accepted as a fellow, you will be matched with seasoned entrepreneurs (your mentors) and personal coaches who will provide you with one-on-one encouragement and guidance. You will enjoy the camaraderie and support of a community of committed fellows. Providing access to industry experts such as financial professionals, lawyers and business consultants, JCC PresenTense Chicago will help you down the path of successful social entrepreneurship.
