Public Agenda is a nonprofit, nonpartisan public opinion research and citizen education organization whose mission is to close the gap between leaders and the public on crucial social and policy issues. Our insistence on genuine dialogue and respect for the public's views make Public Agenda a unique voice in public affairs. Our proven public engagement program helps community groups, businesses, school districts and others create settings for average citizens to effectively get involved in issues they care about. Our opinion research clarifies public attitudes by probing beneath superficial responses to reveal not only what Americans think but why they hold their views and what they want to see happen. Also central to our work is our award-winning Web site, Public Agenda Online, that provides free access to our research, our hands-on civic engagement program, and in-depth analysis and key facts on 21 critical issues.
