The Millennium Campus Network (MCN) is a national non-profit network of university student organizations working to end extreme poverty and achieve the United Nations Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). The MCN currently consists of 70 Member Organizations, on 30 campuses, in four districts—Boston, Chicago, New York, and Washington, D.C.
MCN Member Organizations work to become more effective and sustainable by working together, leveraging resources, connecting with experts in the field, and creating a community to share experiences and best practices. Each year the MCN's Millennium Campus Conference (MCC) brings together more than 1,000 student leaders to network, learn from dozens of leading advocates, experts, and professionals, and re-affirm their generation's commitment to sustainable development. MCN Advisors, including Dr. Paul Farmer, Dr. Jeffrey Sachs, and John Legend have all addressed students at past MCCs.
By becoming more effective and sustainable in their work, MCN Member Organizations are working towards a world where the world's most deprived communities have lifted themselves out of extreme poverty--permanently--with the help of a united, effective, and informed community of university students and alumni.
MCN programs are made possible thanks to its many committed sponsors and partners, including: The Jenzabar Foundation, Hewlett-Packard, The UN Foundation, Better World Campaign, The Boston Globe, and Glamour.
