The North Shore Arc is dedicated to providing lifelong, individualized support to people with, or at risk of developing disabilities, and their families, ensuring opportunities to choose and realize their goals of where and how they learn, live, work, socialize and play.
The North Shore ARC's demographic area and service scope have expanded significantly over nearly half a century. The ARC serves individuals with developmental disabilities, in 97 communities across the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
The North Shore ARC is divided into three programmatic divisions: Residential, Family Supports, and Heritage Industries (a.k.a. our Vocational Division). Within each division are unique programs that provide a broad scope of services, supports, advocacy, information and referral that are responsive to the needs of our consumers.
The ARC also serves as an informational resource to consumers, care providers, legislators, the media, and others regarding issues related to the area of developmental disabilities. Recognized as a leader and innovator, the ARC strives through constant and direct feedback from our consumers to be "ahead of the curve" in our ability to provide excellent services.
