FINANTA is a non-profit community development financial institution (CDFI) that provides business technical assistance, business loans, mortgage counseling and mortgages, and financial literacy services to Philadelphia residents. Founded in 1996, our mission is to promote the growth and economic expansion of diverse Philadelphia communities through the infusion of capital with the provision of technical assistance and business consultation sevices. Since inception, FINANTA has provided over 350 loans for underserved, low-to moderate-income entrepreneurs, totaling nearly $33 million, with an average low loan loss rate of 1.4%. As the only tri-lingual English/ Spanish/ Portuguese CDFI in Philadelphia, we have distinguished ourselves among the region's micro and small business sector by delivering services in a way that's uniquely conscious of the cultural, social and laguage barriers that the growing immigrant and minority population faces.
