MySmallHelp was originally set up by a group of friends in the UK and Nepal and was registered as a UK charity in 2008 to raise funds for the MSH projects in Nepal. MySmallHelp registered as a not-for-profit organisation in Peru in 2011 and also works with MSH UK as a fundraiser partner.
What we do...
Our mission is to help those living in poverty or with a disability to access a brighter future primarily through providing education, health care and skills training.
MySmallHelp has several projects:
*The Integral Support Program for beneficiaries, which serves to give our beneficiaries (people with disabilities or coming from low income families) access to education, health care, and skills training.
*Community Development projects, which includes construction projects. This is addressed to agencies, large groups, and short term volunteers.
*Workshops and volunteering at schools, which includes the reading corner that we do with one of our partner schools, English workshops, and the CEBE special needs school in Cusco.
*Health campaigns (more sporadic)
If more and more people give their small help, every child will be able to access to their basic human rights.
Therefore, our vision is to provide immediate assistance for people in need whilst working with them to develop a long term sustainable income plan, negating the need for further hand outs, thus avoiding a culture of dependency.
