The mission of the HomeBound Leadership Institute is to cultivate, educate, and train new leadership; impact public policy that is sensitive to and considers the cultural and ethnic diversity of America; bring awareness to and empower cultural identity development, and to develop initiatives that unify communities, strengthen cultural consciousness, build and sustain wealth, fill in gaps left by educational inequalities, and offer justice for people of color.
Through civic training, education, and development, alongside on-line and on-the-ground organizing, mirrored through issue based campaigns, the HomeBound Leadership Team wants to shape intellectual discourse, act as a forum for think tank action to progress social movements, reforms in education, criminal justice, media imagery, and the upward mobility of People of Color
We provide innovative services that address a range of needs, enrich strengths and set the stage for the future leaders to take the helm and continue moving our communities forward. Utilizing our approach to the ever-present crisis of self identity, our curricula equips individuals with the tools necessary to progress. We ARE leaders, and we are doing what we're supposed to do!
