Radio La Benevolencija Humanitarian Tools
Foundation (RLB), is a Dutch non-governmental organization working in Rwanda since 2004. The
central mission of the organization is to empower groups and individuals that
form the target of hate speech and ensuing acts, but also to strengthen the
population as a whole.
By using entertainment & education (mainly radio and TV programs)
combined with grassroots activities, societies are provided with knowledge on
how to resist manipulation to violence and how to heal trauma, encouraging them
to be active bystanders against incitement and violence.
In Rwanda, RLB is producing one of the most popular radio dramas in
the country and has set up a strong network of active bystander at a grassroots
level.
