Praxy is a Metro Richmond, Va. Organization working to reduce violence in the Metro Richmond Area. Our goal is to provide education, training, counseling and some instrumental support. We teach the habits of grace and forgiveness as an antidote to the temptation to behave destructively. Our message is that grace given first is a habit that leads to the peace and strength needed to heal and thrive having been touched by violence. As we grow, we will serve our target audience through partnerships with professionals and qualified subject matter experts. We are seeking people to volunteer to serve on our board.
"What kind of board members do you need?"
- Praxy needs board members that can donate as part of their charitable giving.
- We need board members who understand the responsibility of the position and will work to grow Praxy into the vital and impactful organization it needs to be to have a voice in preventing violence in Metro Richmond.
- Specific skillsets in non-profit governance, leadership, compliance, fiscal management, and data management are needed.
- We have vacancies in the four critical positions--president, vice president, treasurer & secretary.
- Last, a repeat of the need for board members who will work for Praxy. A non-profit is its board and its mission. Without an engaged Board of Directors it is nigh impossible to fulfill the mission.
