"In one's quest to change the lives of others, yours is changed, seek well for others and you would be well, pray for others and yours is answered"
Drive Aid Ghana is a registered 501 (c) 3 Non Profit Organization located in Damongo in the Northern region of Ghana, founded by Clement and Femke Matorwmasen a Ghanaian/Dutch couple who have dedicated their lives in serving the rural poor in Ghana, especially in the northern region of Ghana.
Clement: "It is my Hope and prayer that through Drive Aid we would continue to reach out to Orphans, Poor families, Women Groups, Schools, Churches, development oriented groups and individuals within the rural poor communities to build a strong and sustainable community, i believe through countless efforts by volunteers and donors we have become a bridge to the voiceless and the global community"
Femke: "As a medical doctor, have for quite some years now been traveling to different areas in Africa. Fell in love with the continent and mainly with the spirit of the people. It touched my heart to see that, despite the poverty and deprivation of opportunities, people face life with a smile, optimistic about every new day. I met Clement while undergoing my internship as a medical doctor in Ghana some years ago; we became partners in marriage and in many projects. The Green Gold and CCS project are a few, I am much involved in this because the Moringa plant seems to solve most of the problems often reported at the hospital; Malnutrition, Anemia, and other mineral deficient diseases as well as malaria, I belief that if more attention is given to this Moringa and Artemisia it will solve Africa's most deadly problem, thus malnutrition and Malaria. I am now settling in Ghana and we are working to help to empower the local community through Drive Aid."
We currently partner with various development partners and individuals in our projects, including:
