To promote access to high quality breast and cervical cancer screening and follow up care, while continually assessing the psychosocial needs of Cali's women and their families who are affected by cancer, and the effectiveness of the PFCCAP cancer prevention initiative.
About Us
Partners for Cancer Care and Prevention is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that has been providing medical support to underrepresented patient groups in Cali, Colombia since 2006. Through partnerships with various organizations both in U.S. and Colombia, PFCCAP has set an ambitious goal to build the health system capacity and promote early preventive measures to reduce the burden of breast and cervical cancer mortality.
We believe that early detection can save lives; with the right quality control measures in place, we believe that Cali's health system can rise to meet the needs of all patients, regardless of their financial resources. Our vision is to not only change the lives of women with breast and cervical cancer, but to impact the whole community in which they live. We are confident that many of these cancers and related conditions may be avoided with proper education and mechanisms for early detection and high quality care.
Currently, we provide access to breast and cervical cancer screening and are partnering San Juan de Dios hospital in Colombia, Cali's local government, and other local NGO's in efforts to implement a sustainable partnership.
To date, the organization has helped over 35,000 patients in only seven years, and performed more than 2,300 surgical procedures.
