Sobre nosotros

Founded in 1974 by photographer Cornell Capa with the mission of presenting "concerned photography" to the public, the International Center of Photography is a world-renowned museum and school devoted to the presentation, preservation, and study of photography. The ICP museum and museum offices are located in midtown Manhattan at 1133 Avenue of the Americas at 43rd Street. ICP's school, library, and administrative offices are located diagonally across the street at 1114 Avenue of the Americas at 43rd Street. ICP maintains a year-round schedule of in-house exhibition and education programs, an international traveling exhibitions program, a collection of more than 90,000 original prints and an in-depth resource library for photographic research. Education programs are also at the core of the Center's mission and play a larger role at ICP than at most art museums. ICP operates an extensive full-time and continuing adult continuing education program, serving 5,000 persons annually. Public Programs educate and broaden audiences for photography through gallery talks, lectures, and symposia while Community Programs educate and broaden audiences for photography through the implementation of creative and varied photography programming.
