The mission of AIDS Foundation Houston is to create positive social impact through the innovative management of HIV/AIDS and other chronic diseases.
Founded in 1982, AIDS Foundation Houston, Inc. (AFH) is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) community-based organization that is a direct provider of resources for HIV/AIDS services and information. AFH works in collaboration with other AIDS service organizations and non AIDS related community-based groups to reduce the incidence of HIV/AIDS infection and to support people living with HIV/AIDS. • In 2003, AFH served over 5,000 men, women, and children infected with HIV/AIDS and thousands of others who were affected by and at risk for HIV/AIDS. • AFH reached over 30,000 people with prevention education programs during the same 12 month period.
