blueEnergy is an international nonprofit organization, which works to break the cycle of poverty and create a more equitable, sustainable world. blueEnergy provides renewable energy, water and sanitation solutions to the most isolated poor living along the Caribbean coast of Nicaragua.

blueEnergy goes where others won't to create lasting change in the poorest region in the second poorest country in the Western hemisphere (behind Haiti). Through engagement with this work we develop global leaders committed to working for a more equitable, sustainable world.blueEnergy utilizes a diverse, multi-cultural team of international volunteers, interns, and local staff that work together on sustainable community development initiatives. This unique organizational structure amplifies blueEnergy's impact and provides interns and volunteers with a transformative experience.
