Turnaround for Children, Inc. is a rapidly-growing organization with a powerful and innovative approach for dramatic improvement of low-performing, high-poverty public schools. Through work in over 70 schools since 2002, Turnaround has developed a model for equipping schools to address recurring and predictable barriers to teaching and learning that arise from the circumstances of poverty.

Turnaround has grown over the past decade from an idea to an organization with a $12 million budget and over 50 employees. Turnaround is at an incredibly exciting time in its development, as its school transformation model has begun to attract significant attention from policy makers and philanthropists locally and nationally, and it has become an important voice in the discourse around education policy at the federal level.

Turnaround's central office is in midtown Manhattan and it currently has programs in four NYC boroughs and Washington DC. Expansion to other cities is anticipated for the coming years.
