DPU was established in 1953, initially with a focus on approaches to planning in the tropical developing countries of the South. More history on the website: http://www.bartlett.ucl.ac.uk/dpu/about-us/history

We are an interdiscplinary school within University College London (UCL), ranked 4th in the world and 2nd in Europe by QS World University Rankings in 2012.

DPU offers MSc and PhD programmes covering a range of topics relating to Development Planning. Our areas of specialisation lie within the disciplines of international development and urban development planning. Again, plenty more on our website: http://www.bartlett.ucl.ac.uk/dpu
