The Nanubhai Education Foundation (501c3), founded in 2004, is dedicated to improving education in India's rural public schools. We work to encourage both teachers and students to achieve excellence in the classroom, and to use their enhanced English skills to fully participate in India's ever-growing economy. Without strong English language instruction, even the most dedicated students cannot gain access to jobs available to their urban, English-speaking counterparts. We have several programs which we use to achieve our goals. There is our college scholarship fund for young women, our free English classes before and after school, and our teacher training program.

By working with and mentoring young public school teachers, we are able to empower them to become more effective educators. We also conduct area-wide trainings to reach more experienced teachers, and partner with schools, NGOs, and social enterprise groups across India to stay on the cutting edge of transformative educational practices.
