Bpeace believes that creating jobs, creates peace.
Founded in 2002, Bpeace (Business Council for Peace) is a non-profit organization of passionate business volunteers. We are the only pro-bono business consulting organization that operates exclusively in conflict-affected countries.
We have a special interest in women's economic development and believe: More Jobs Mean Less Violence. ®
Through our pro-bono model, business professionals contribute knowledge and skills to strengthen and grow small and medium-size businesses in Afghanistan, Rwanda, El Salvador and Guatemala. In 2013, we provided $1.5 million worth of pro bono consulting services to 50 businesses to accelerate the growth of jobs and cut the oxygen to violence. In 2014, we have 67 businesses in our portfolio and plan to add 9 more in Guatemala by year's end.
Business people who volunteer with Bpeace assist entrepreneurs with momentum, advising them how to improve their processes, profitability and their understanding of what success can look like. Bpeace has backing from the U.S. State Department and corporations that include PwC, PIMCO, dressbarn, Irving Place Capital, Citibank, The Vitamin Shoppe and Wiley. It is rated 5-stars on GreatNonProfits.
